How to Fix ODIN stuck on sboot.bin.lz4 Odin flash tool error
Hello, friends today I will show you How to Fix ODIN stuck on sboot.bin.lz4 Odin flash tool error
For those of you having trouble flashing stock firmware on the latest Oreo or above firmwares with Samsung Galaxy mobiles(most likely with newer Galaxy j7 prime, S8, S8 Plus, Note 8, S9, s9 plus note 20, note 20 ultra and S10 Plus) and getting stuck at Odin “sboot.bin.lz4”, this is most likely caused by using ODIN flash tool version older than v3.14.1. Samsung has used new lz4 compression on their firmwares which means older ODIN flash tools are not able to decompress the files before flashing to your Samsung smartphone.
So How to fix this sboot.bin.lz4 error? Simply use the latest Odinv3.14.4 or HIGHER version, you can download v3.14.4 below:
If you are still using an older version of the ODIN tool, please update to the latest v3.14.4. This version of ODIN is also fully backward-compatible with older versions of the ODIN tool, meaning you will be able to use it fine on all older Samsung devices.
What is ODINv3.14.4?
ODIN is a small application for Samsung devices like the Galaxy j7 prime, S8, S8 Plus, Note 8, S9, s9 plus note 20, note 20 ultra, etc… ODIN is used for flashing or updating stock firmware and you may get the LZ4 error because LZ4 is a new compression method and is not supported on older devices.
so always use the latest Odin we provide on this website
